Regulations may vary for all carriers of household goods, passengers or hazardous materials. Tow truck operations may also vary.
All intrastate* transporters of property** must apply for and receive operating authority from the state of
New York Department of Transportation before commencing operations. All carriers must have a USDOT #
before applying for their NYS operating authority.
